Frameworks and body of work
Built inside real companies, under real stakes, before I taught any of it.
Framework
I/R Framework
Every leader I’ve coached has, at some point, said some version of “that’s just who I am,” usually in defense of a reaction they’d rather not examine. I/R Framework exists to interrupt that sentence.
Your I is your Identity: your self-concept, steady and not up for renegotiation in a hard meeting. Your R is your Role: the part you’re occupying in a given moment, whether executive, parent, salesperson, or competitor. It is situational and entirely capable of changing without threatening who you are.
Most leadership failure comes from collapsing the two. Most leadership growth starts the moment a leader can tell them apart.
Book
Execution Breakdown
Currently in final edits with the publisher. The book applies four decades of operating and advising to a single question: why does execution break in companies whose leadership team is genuinely capable?
The answer, across fourteen distinct failure patterns, keeps tracing back to the same three roots: Shared Reality, Shared Standards, and Shared System. The book closes with a specific ninety-day protocol, the Execution Reset, for closing the gap once you’ve found it.
Anthology
Leadership Symphony
An anthology currently in development, mapping leadership archetypes to music-genre metaphors across roughly thirty-five chapters.
The premise: a symphony isn’t just notes in sequence, it’s shaped by the space between them. The best leaders I’ve coached across forty years were never the loudest in the room. They knew exactly when to stop playing.
Newsletter
The Clarity Crucible
A LinkedIn newsletter for C-suite executives: prose essays and audio recordings addressing the specific, named failures I see most often at the top of an organization. Trust repair. Operational excellence. The difference between confidence and comfort.
Series
The Management Crucible
A companion practitioner series for the managers underneath that C-suite, built around the specific defensive phrases leaders hear from their teams, and grounded in the same I/R spine: identity ratings, ceiling-to-floor conversion, and the difference between a Camper, a Climber, and a Winner.
Recognize the pattern?
The frameworks are how I diagnose. The conversation is where we find out which one applies to you.
